This character was created as part of an art test for EA, focusing on the likeness of UFC Champion Max Holloway. I was given a one-week deadline to complete the head model, originally building it for presentation in Marmoset Toolbag. While I initially set it aside after delivery,
later, I decided to take the project further by learning Unreal Engine 5. This head sculpt felt like the perfect opportunity to experiment with real-time lighting, skin shading, and scene setup inside UE5. The model was sculpted in ZBrush and then wrapped with clean topology and XYZ maps in Wrap3D and then refined in Substance Painter. Final look development and rendering were done in Unreal Engine 5.
A big thank-you to Peter Evans (https://www.artstation.com/peterraoulevans) for his valuable Unreal Engine introduction and for sharing his lookdev workflow — it made transitioning the project into UE5 much smoother.
