Prince of Persia

This project was my self-study before starting full-time at Think Tank School. It helped me gain a solid foundation in 3D character creation and gave me a understanding of the full pipeline.
This is a project I've been working on for a while, inspired by the announcement of "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake" by Ubisoft. As a huge fan of the original game, I decided to create my own version of the Prince character as a fun art study and I made whole character from scratch without using any basemash.

Although I didn’t aim to create a likeness of Jake Gyllenhaal, I used his face as a reference along with the new design of the Prince of Persia announced by Ubisoft. This project allowed me to explore and strengthen my understanding of the entire 3D pipeline, from sculpting to grooming.

Process Overview:

Sculpting: Done in ZBrush
Clothing Simulation: Created in Marvelous Designer
Retopology & UVs: In Maya
Baking: Done in Marmoset
Texturing: Using Substance Painter
Grooming: With XGen
Rigging & Posing: In Maya (Learned basic rigging and skinning for this project)
Rendering: Arnold
